We have had a great start to the new year, launching a variety of Careers and Post-16 events for our students. We are proud to offer our pupils a variety of opportunities throughout their time at the Academy to learn about and explore their future pathways, as we know that it’s exposure to these conversations and opportunities now that will make a big impact when it comes to applying to colleges, universities and employers later on.
This week at Kearsley Academy, some of our Year 11 students have worked with Careers Advisers from Connexions Bolton to explore their various Post-16 options; looking at the ‘menu of choice’ from A-Levels to Technical courses and Apprenticeship routes, and how to decide between the different options available.
Meanwhile, our Year 10 students have begun their approach to careers with one-to-one interviews with Careers Advisors already underway to examine aspirations for future careers and many of these sessions will take place throughout the year.
Lastly, our Parent’s Evening was also attended by both CareersInc. and Connexions Bolton, who were on hand throughout the evening to provide advice to all who came along.
We are very excited to offer many more careers events at Kearsley Academy throughout the year, so please look out for regular updates through our weekly letters, Good News stories and through our dedicated Careers Twitter address: @CareersKearsley
